Indian Rosewood bridge finished for 6 string steel string guitar. The saddle is slightly tilted backwards.

- Origin: East India
- Other names: Palisander, palosanto de India
- Density: 650-850 kg/m3 40-53 lbs/ft3
- Uses: Backs and sides, bridges, head plates, fingerboards
Indian rosewood is a substitute for Brazilian rosewood. It is a lot lighter, not so dense, but more stable. The colours range from red to light brown with golden streaks, but often the colours are various shades of purple, which eventually oxidise to a brown colour.
