It is not always easy to mark the center with a ruler and pencil. Sometimes you are just wrong or your line is one mm thick and you don't yet know exactly what the middle is. Using the CenterJig it is a matter of holding the block on the neck, tilting it so that it is clamped on the left and right and drawing a scratch from top to bottom. If necessary, you can mark the scratch even better with a fine pencil so that the line becomes clearly visible. Always clean and no hassle with measuring and marking. Indispensable for every luthier.
